Welcome to my Blog

A lot of these are old drawings. I'll be adding new ones, so there will be new things to look at soon. Feedback is welcome. Just add a comment. Also you can give me a name for any drawing with out a name and I may use it and if you want I will say who named it.

Alf,

All of your drawings a wonderful! I love the Lord of the Rings & King Arthur. His eyes are so intense, like one would expect them to be.

My husband is an artist & he started out like you have. Just drawing & sketching every chance he got. When he was a kid, he practiced by copying Marvel Comic characters & Japanese silk screens of Samurais & women in Kimonas because he loved to draw fabric with all the folds & shadows between them.

If you just keep on drawing & experimenting with different media
& never be afraid to make a mistake
(like when you changed your self portrait to female) you are going to be fantastic some day!
BTW, I'm one of your mom's FSN friends. If you ever want to see some of my husband's work remind her that some of it is posted in our FSN Yahoo group. (We haven't figured out how to make him a website yet)

Wow, Alf, I can't think of anything you can do to improve your artwork or your website. Just keep doing what you're doing and trying different things and one day, all your Mom's FSN friends will show up for your gallery debut.

O, Alf, how spiritual your drawings are. I especially liked the charcoal...there was a 'feel' there that made me feel warm inside. I envy you your talent. Your self portrait shows a young person in transit...from child to young adult...at least to me. It is nothing to be embarrassed about! I look forward to more from you.

I thank you for your comments. I greatly appreciate your thoughts and encouragement. I would also like to say that if you would like to name a drawing that is not named then leave your thoughts for a name and I may use them. Thank You ^_^

Wow, Alf - what amazing talent you have. My parents were artists. When they traveled (all over the world), while others took cameras, my father took his sketch books. Even when he was "just working on technique," the spirit of the thing or place or time came through, and your drawing reminds me of that. It's beyond eye-hand coordination and into real talent. What a gift!
